Andy Saunders
With an impressive and an extraordinary ability to use humor to break down barriers and stereotypes as well as provoke thought in any audience, Andy Saunders takes satire to new heights.
Andy has quickly evolved in to one of the most popular and successful acts performing around the country today at a variety of events and venues. His star continues to rise after performing successful stand-up routines for many tours, events and standalone gigs from the Melbourne international Comedy Festivals Galas to appearing on TV as a reality star on Nine networks The Block there is no stopping Andy and his juggernaut of funny.
Daniel Connell
Daniel Connell could easily be described as the ideal Aussie comedian; affable, loveable and hilarious. One of the most active stand-up comedians in Australia, Daniel can be seen at comedy venues across the country all year round. His observational, dry, often unanticipated comedy has seen him take to stages all over Australia and around the world.
Driven to further his career in comedy, Daniel moved to Melbourne in 2010 and quickly established himself in the local scene. In 2011 he performed in The Comedy Zone at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival (MICF), a line-up show of up and coming Australian comedians, hand picked by the festival. Since then Daniel has performed a brand new hour of stand-up at 12 consecutive Melbourne International Comedy Festivals. He has also taken each show to every major Australian festival.
David Quirk
You might have seen David Quirk in Rosehaven, Celia Pacquola and Luke McGregor's acclaimed ABC series where he plays the odd/lovely character of Damian, the Tasmanian hoarding locksmith. Or maybe it was as Josh Thomas' love interest in Please Like Me. If not there, perhaps it was with Sam Simmons in Problems, or with Sammy J & Randy in Ricketts Lane. Who can say?
Stand-up comedian and actor David Quirk has cemented his place on our TV screens and as an original voice on the international comedy circuit, with hit live shows in Australia and the UK.
His break-through live show, Shaking Hands With Danger, a storytelling tale about infidelity, took out the coveted peer voted award - The Piece of Wood Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and was nominated for Best Comedy at the Sydney Comedy Festival. The show also ran successful seasons in both London and Edinburgh. His follow up, Career, Suicide in 2014, also garnered great reviews and has consolidated David's place as one of our most interesting, honest and daring standups.
He Huang
He Huang grew up in a small town of Chongqing, China, a mountainous region, where her family had lived for generations with a strong passion for drinking, cursing and gambling. Turns out it was the perfect setting to start a life in stand-up comedy, and after travelling the world - uni in Beijing, a Masters in Washington DC - she found herself in Australia. In 2021, she auditioned for RAW Comedy, Australia's premiere new talent contest, winning state finalist for Victoria before performing in the national final at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. However, it would be another audition that put He on the comedy map... In 2022, He auditioned for the TV show, Australia's Got Talent, with her stand up routine becoming a viral sensation, with over 60 million views globally.
Prue Blake
Prue Blake is a strong, confident, underachiever by choice… or she was before she became the 2020/21 RAW Comedy Winner!
An easy-going comic, her style is observational, intelligent and most importantly cheeky, but not too cheeky to show your mum. Prue has been described as both "dashing" and a "disillusioned feminist" by The Age.
Prue has been taking the stand-up comedy scene by storm since 2018 and has performed at some of the biggest comedy shows both in Australia and internationally including the prestigious Comedy Zone, Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow, the Upfront Gala, Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Moosehead Benefit. She is regularly heard on the radio including The Breakfasters (RRR), Comedy Bites (ABC) and Evenings with David Astle (ABC) and has a popular newsletter ‘I shaved my legs for…THIS?! Prue has also had jokes featured on the acclaimed TV series Get Krack!n Before stand-up took over her life, Prue started in improv comedy and completed 5 levels of improv classes at the Improv Conspiracy. During this time Prue was part of the popular indie and house teams; A.I. Baby, Surrounded by Wankers, Amelia Bearfart and Tux-she-do. Prue was not involved in naming any of these teams.
During the improv years, Prue was also part of the sketch group ‘Leaky Bucket’ who wrote, produced and performed in two shows at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival (First Crack, Swings At Dusk) and acted in the 2018 Fringe Show ‘Things We Found in the Swamp.
"Disillusioned feminist" ★★★★ - The Age
"Strongest Comedy Zone ensemble of rising stars yet" ★★★★1/2 - The Age
