Civic Theatre Newcastle is a proscenium arch theatre seating 1450 in two tiers.

The Playhouse is a thrust studio theatre seating 195 in raked seating.

The magnificent Civic Theatre is the heart and soul of live performance in Newcastle.

Playhouse

The Playhouse is an intimate multi-purpose theatre for smaller live performance events.

City of Newcastle acknowledges that we operate on the grounds of the traditional country of the Awabakal and Worimi peoples.
