Due to ongoing COVID restrictions Music of the Guns planned for Saturday 9 October 2021 at the Fort has unfortunately been cancelled.
All ticket holders will receive an automatic refund which will be processed within 20 days. If your details have changed, or you have any refund enquiries please contact the Civic Theatre Ticket Office on 4929 1977.

Enjoy the sights and sounds of the Australian Army Band Newcastle as they perform outdoors at the historic Fort Scratchley parade ground. This impressive concert will conclude with the 1812 overture where the guns of Fort Scratchley become a part of the band! Guest musicians from the Waratah Mayfield Brass Band complete the show. Bring along your friends and a picnic for an outdoor event like no other!
Please note that there will be NO parking on the Fort grounds however drop off will be allowed at the Inner Gate. The overflow parking area on Nobby's Road will be open from 4pm.
Event running time information:
5:30pm - Gates open.
6:30pm - Concert starts.
8:30pm - Concert ends with the 1812 overture and firing of the guns.
- There is no parking on the Fort grounds however drop off can occur at the inner gate.
- Bring your own chair and picnic hamper (alcohol allowed) Small esky only, no tables.
- Tickets can be purchased at the gate on the night of the show (from 5.30pm) however please note there will only be Eftpos or credit card sales (no cash sales)
In the event of severe weather warning this concert may need to be cancelled. If so, a decision will be made at 3pm on the day. Please check this website.
