Redeem your Discover NSW and Parents NSW Vouchers at the Civic Theatre

Where do I apply for the Dine & Discover & Parents NSW vouchers?
The NSW Government has launched Dine & Discover NSW to encourage the community to get out and about and support dining, arts and tourism businesses.The vouchers can be used at participating NSW businesses that are registered as COVIDSafe. Find out more from NSW Government.

These are 5 x $50 vouchers that can be accepted for entertainment.

How do I use my vouchers at the Civic Theatre?
Discover NSW & Parents NSW vouchers can be redeemed on tickets for live performance and entertainment events at the Civic Theatre, Playhouse and City hall. To see what’s currently on sale visit the Civic Theatre What's On page


Vouchers can now be redeemed online.
The Civic Theatre has been working with Service NSW and our ticketing partner to activate online bookings. Our website has now been updated with this option for both Dine and Discover AND Parents NSW Vouchers.

OR Contact the office on 4929 1977 during office hours or drop into the Ticket Office on Hunter Street between 10.00am and 2.00pm weekdays to book your tickets. One voucher may be used per booking and you may then be required to pay the difference over the phone or at the counter for your experience. Don’t forget to have your vouchers with you.

Vouchers may only be used for new ticket purchases – you cannot use the voucher and reduce the price of a ticket you have already purchased previously. Ticket sale and voucher must be in the same transaction.

Dine in at the Civic Café
Dine NSW vouchers can be used to dine in at the Civic Café for a sit-down meal. The Civic Café has a special Dine NSW package of a traditional pizza, garlic bread and soft drink. You can also put your voucher towards eat-in breakfast, lunch or dinner. Dine NSW vouchers cannot be used for alcohol or takeaway meals.

Dine vouchers can be used to eat in from Monday to Thursday (excluding public holidays)

How many vouchers can be redeemed?
You may use 1 x $25 voucher per person per day at the Civic Theatre.
You may not combine both your $25 vouchers to receive $50 off one ticket or meal. However, you and a friend may eat together and each use your vouchers to pay for the combined meal (this is still 1 voucher per person per day)
You will need to advise a team member when you make your booking or are paying for your meal that you are using your voucher, don’t forget to have them available, we will accept printed or phone vouchers.

You can use your voucher if your bill is less than $25 but neither you nor the Theatre will receive the leftover amount. Any balance of funds is forfeited.

When do I produce the voucher?
When making a ticket booking on the phone let a team member know the code of your voucher or produce your digital or printed voucher/s at the ticket or café counter. Staff will then scan and submit your voucher/s for redemption, only valid vouchers will be accepted. If your voucher has been previously used, is not within the conditions of use, you will be required to pay the full amount of the transaction.

What if I cancel my booking?
Once booked tickets are non-refundable. Civic Theatre ticketing terms and conditions can be found here.

What if the show is cancelled?
In the event of a show cancellation or reschedule, transactions paid with Discover and Parent NSW Vouchers will receive a Civic Theatre Ticket Office Gift Voucher, for the equivalent value of the original Service NSW voucher redeemed. These will be redeemable for tickets to any show sold through the Civic Theatre Ticket Office and are valid for three years.
