The Ticket Office, located on Hunter Street, has temporarily ceased counter sales. However, customers can still contact the ticket office on 02 4929 1977 to purchase tickets.

From 1 July 2021, the authorised ticket seller for the Civic Theatre Newcastle, Playhouse and City Hall is the Civic Theatre Ticket Office.

If you have purchased a ticket to our venue online previously, you may already have an account with us. You will just need to login with your email address and reset your password:

Information:

The Ticket Office is open for counter sales on weekdays from 9am to 5pm.

The Ticket Office is also open one hour to prior to all shows (in the Civic Theatre or Playhouse foyers).

We accept most credit cards and EFTPOS.


Industry Representation

The Civic Theatre Newcastle is a member of Live Performance Australia, the peak body representing the live performance industry and operates under the LPA Ticketing Code of Practice (Consumer Code). This Code applies to the purchase and use of tickets.

The Civic Theatre Newcastle is a member of Performing Arts Connections Australia the national peak body representing and supporting performing arts presenters and creators in Australia.

Please be aware that The Civic theatre Newcastle has no obligation to honour any tickets purchased via unauthorised resellers.
 
If you attend an event with a ticket purchased via an unauthorised reseller (such as Viagogo, Ticketmaster Resale, Ticketbis, eBay, Gumtree, Tickets Australia or otherwise), your ticket may be cancelled without a refund, and you may be refused entry to the Event.
